Network and connections
The app does not declare the INTERNET permission, so it makes no network requests. Lyrics are read only from your files; album artwork comes from your files and device.
What the app stores on your device
- A library index of your songs, kept in a local database
- Playlists and favourites you create
- Your settings
- Cached waveform data for songs you have played
Third parties
No advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs are included. Playback uses Google's open-source Media3 library, which runs entirely on the device.
Backups
Android's own backup is allowed for this app. On Android 12 and later only app settings are included in cloud backup; on Android 11 and earlier settings and the app database are included. You can turn device backup off in Android settings.
Removing your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, removes everything it keeps. Your music files are never modified or deleted.
